How do I measure my room?
The official size of each tile is 2’x2’, however this measurement includes the puzzle connections. After measuring if you have any size that is devisable by 2, know that you will be a little short and will have to order a row of extra tiles.
Can you combine different colors?
Yes you can combine colors and you can combine the SoftCarpets with the SoftTiles. You can create all kinds of useful or fun patterns. Combine different SoftFloors to create borders, letters, paths or walkways, specific areas that separate and define different uses.
Are the tiles reversible?
SoftFloor’s SoftTile comes with a slip resistant pattern imprinted on the top of each Tile or mat. The underside is a little softer than the top. You can flip them over if wished, but keep in mind they are just a bit tougher and better slip resistant on the top side.
Just how soft are these tiles?
SoftTiles are soft, however this term is very relative, in other words the wood soft can mean a lot of different things to different people. Most people will find comfort, fatigue relief and anti fatigue on these mats and tiles. You should not sink all the way down to the floor when standing on them, so they are tough and firm. They can give protection to falling children, however because they are firm it is not like landing in a pillow or even thick mulch in a playground. To sum up, they can be cut with sharp objects, SoftFloors can support you and provide relief from fatigue and lastly they are great for protecting the floor too.
Will these mats soak up liquids?
All the SoftFloors including the SoftTile are no absorbent, 100% water or liquid proof. They are also non odor absorbent.
Can I cover a whole room?
There are two ways to do a full room, the first is called Area Rug and the other is Wall to Wall. You can save some money and get a size just smaller than the room with edges all around the mat. Wall to Wall means that you will buy extra tiles, for a larger area than the room size, then cut or trim the tiles to fit the room. Since almost no room is perfectly square, we recommend that you purchase all Center Pieces and cut them to fit. You should also know that the corner pieces are rounded not squared so you can not fit it into a rooms corner. Keep in mind the tiles are 2’x2’ including the puzzle connections.
Do the SoftTiles stay in place on the floor?
The underneath side of the SoftFloors are made to have more of a grip, so along with the softness of the tile and the grip plus the weight of a person walking or standing on it, it stays in place very well.

Are these tough enough to be used in industrial situations?
These are industrial quality tiles. SoftTile is not the run of the mill cheapo tile, these tiles are non absorbent and anti slip and anti fatigue. They are a full ½” thick and firm enough for even the biggest work boot guys. They are good as single mats too, we have had auto mechanics use them as a pad to kneel and lay on.
